Quick update with a few of the delightful little birds seen at Sculthorpe Moor yesterday morning. The Wren was a real bonus as it popped in and out of the log pile at the bottom of the wind turbine and guess what, the sun was shining!!

I've been spending the last couple of weekends here trying to photograph the Kingfisher who's made her winter home along the tidal stream in Qurm Natural Park. Its difficult to manage the time however as the best time for the light is from 7 to 10 am but this also needs to coincide with pretty much a full tide otherwise the stream is fairly shallow and she spends more time further down into the Mangrove swamp which is pretty much inaccessible. I've put up a few random pictures from quite a few I've managed and I'll be back again this Friday to try again. Yeah, I know some of the perches are a bit naff but what to do :-) One of her favorite sites is a man-made channel right at the top of the stream but its unfortunately dotted with old pipes and cables, she loves them though, as she does the old builders bucket. Hope you like them, I've loved spending time with her.
By the way, the Crested Lark and Bluethroat were bonus shots as I waited for her to turn up.
